I am a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I graduated, with honors, from Hampton University with a B.S. degree in Accounting.
I found my passion for helping others gain control of their financial well-being when I began volunteering with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. I continued volunteering my time by facilitating Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. During this same time I expanded my financial education by attending Boston University and earning a graduate certificate in financial planning.
As a committed community servant, I’ve also volunteered my financial management expertise at VITA offices as an Internal Revenue Service registered tax preparer.
All of this work culminated in my selection as a 2011 Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Military Spouse Fellow. This coveted fellowship authorized me to intern with the Army Community Service’s Financial Readiness office, further contributing to the financial health of my military community. In 2012, I successfully completed the fellowship and was designated an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC)®.
Currently, I work for a government contractor and provide financial counseling and education to members of our military and their families. I am also the author of The MilSpouse Guide to Using the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act (MSRRA).
I began Ingram Financial Management in 2011 to provide trusted financial education and counseling, as well as income tax preparation services. I have successfully completed all paid tax preparer requirements set forth by the IRS.
As the spouse of an active duty Marine, I have first-hand experience in both the challenges and rewards of military life!
